(1) With the same feed rate an insert with ‘Masterfinish’ cutting edge reaches a roughness value Ra which is many times lower than the one of a conventional insert.
(2) If you want to reach the same Ra-value as with a standard insert, a twice as high feed rate can be applied for the insert with ‘Masterfinish’ cutting edge (= shorter production time per component!)
